A medical emergency

I got a call Friday from David while I was away at my retreat. He said that he was sorry to call but there had been a slight medical emergency that he needed to talk to me about. I could tell from the tone of his voice that it was nothing serious so I didn't panic. It seems that while Harrison was at school, he injured himself. A note came home from his teacher. Here's what it said:

Well, I am not real sure how you hurt your neck playing a board game but I am glad to report that there seems to be no long term problems and his neck is feeling better.

Wow, I can't believe the teacher even bothered to tell you - that's really neat. I wish my daughter had a teacher like that!

His teacher is awesome. She is an older English lady (think Mary Poppins at 60) and never had kids. This is her life and if I could clone her I would.

That's funny. It's even funnier that David called you to tell you. Because he saw the humor in it too. That's good stuff. Scrap it, girl! ;)
